Lifelong learning

The concept of lifelong learning

It is part of a European policy that aims to build a European space for education and lifelong learning in response to the strategic objective laid down in Lisbon in 2000 to make Europe the “the most competitive knowledge society in the world” by 2010

Lifelong learning is defined by the European Commission as “any learning activity undertaken throughout life with the aim of improving knowledge, qualifications and competencies within a personal, civic, social and / or employment related perspective.”

CPE Lyon offers several formulae for lifelong learning:

Continuing education, whether or not it leads to a qualification

State qualified engineer (Diplômé Par l’Etat - DPE)
