Participation in a mission to Colombia with the Fédération Gay-Lussac
As part of its international partnerships, CPE Lyon took part in a mission to Colombia from February 17 to 20, organized by the Fédération Gay-Lussac (FGL) in collaboration with the Colombian Association of Engineering Faculties (ACOFI).
Nicolas Garay Lukas, International Coordinator for Incoming Mobility, served as our representative on this delegation.
On February 17 in Bogotá, he met with representatives from Campus France Colombia, the French Embassy, and several Colombian universities. The day was marked by the signing of the FGL–ACOFI framework agreement, aimed at strengthening cooperation in chemical engineering through mobility programs, academic exchanges, and joint projects.
February 18 and 19 were dedicated to visiting universities in Medellín, providing an opportunity to identify concrete collaboration opportunities with partner institutions.
Finally, on February 20, the delegation was welcomed at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (UNAL), where in-depth discussions were held with the School of Engineering and the Department of Process Engineering. In the afternoon, a visit was organized to UniAndes, further strengthening prospects for cooperation.
Driven by a spirit of cooperation among academic networks, this agreement paves the way for meaningful and lasting partnerships between the schools of the Fédération Gay-Lussac and Colombian universities. It will contribute to the internationalisation of academic programs and the development of joint academic and scientific projects.
This initiative reaffirms CPE Lyon’s commitment to strengthening its presence in Latin America and actively engaging in high-level international initiatives.
