IPL International Summer School : Sign up for the 2026 information session
CPE Lyon will take part in the IPL International Summer School 2026, an intensive academic and cultural program organised by the Institut Polytechnique de Lyon (IPL) in collaboration with its member schools, including CPE Lyon and ITECH.
The Summer School will take place in Lyon, France, from June 11 to July 9, 2026, and is open to undergraduate students in Science and Engineering who have completed their first or second year of study. This four-week program offers a unique opportunity to combine high-level scientific training, cultural immersion and French language learning in one of Europe’s major academic and innovation hubs.
All academic courses are taught in English and are complemented by French language classes, as well as cultural and industrial visits organised across the Lyon metropolitan area.
At CPE Lyon, students will follow the academic track “Computer Science for Engineers”, a program dedicated to digital sciences applied to engineering. This track introduces key concepts and tools enabling future engineers to integrate digital technologies into their professional practice, with a particular focus on:
- Data science (data storage and mining, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analysis),
- Internet of Things (sensors, networks, cybersecurity),
- Programming fundamentals,
- Applications and challenges related to Industry 4.0.
The objective of this course is to equip students with essential digital skills that are increasingly central to modern engineering professions.

- Program fees: €2,500, including:
- accommodation,
- scientific courses in English at CPE Lyon or ITECH,
- 19 hours of French language classes,
- cultural and industrial visits in the Lyon region,
- a welcome meal and a closing dinner.
Participants may choose between two academic tracks:
- Computer Science for Engineers at CPE Lyon,
- Practical approach of Polymer and Material Sciences Engineering at ITECH Lyon.
Online information session
An online information session will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 5:00 to 6:00 PM (Paris time) to present the program and answer prospective students’ questions.
